New Haven has historically been a very evangelistic church. Our mission remains to share the Gospel with families, neighbors, friends and ultimately the world, compelling them to obey the Gospel of Jesus Christ by putting Him on in baptism.

The position of Minister of the New Haven Church of Christ has been held by very few men historically.

We are looking for a minister to work with our leadership team and serve as the lead minister,

preacher, teacher and spiritual leader of the congregation.

GENERAL QUALIFICATIONS

The qualifications we are seeking for this position are as follows:

 

  • Minimum of 5 Years preaching/ministerial experience with at least 5 years as the lead minister of a congregation of the church of Christ

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Bible, Theology, Religion or some other discipline related to ministry is preferred.

  • Sound doctrinal approach to teaching and preaching as demonstrated through recent sermons, classes, publications, books, etc.

  • Maintained consistent fellowship in the brotherhood during the term of all preacher/minister positions.

  • History of successful congregational growth through evangelism and ministry work

  • A track record of successful leadership of a congregation of the church of Christ

  • Experience or ability to work with a ministry team using ministry leaders, youth leaders.

  • Good family reputation, this includes ministry involvement, modeling Christian behavior and faithful in attendance and lifestyle.
